When ever wood is used for packing of machinery or product it is known as dunage or wooden packing. In nature all wooden products consist of different types of pests and fungi of particular type according to the region and country. In order to restrict these pests not to enter another country while exporting, the wood has to be treated to kill or confine pests. Hence the WTO in collaboration with plant protection council has issued a standard called ISPM-15 (International Standard for Phytosanitary Measure for Wooden packaging).
The aim of ISPM is to restrict any migration of pest to other countries during export process. This was initiated in the year 2002 by UK and later it was made compulsory through out the world in all countries from 2007 July. India has started its implementations in the year 2005. RUSAT TIMBER DEPOT having huge experience in the wood industry has gone through all the tests processes and produced and has achieved the International Standards as per ISPM-15 certificate and have come out as proud achievers. ISPM-15 Standard certificate is issued by department of plant protection. Quarantines and storage ministry of agriculture Faridabad India in Jan 2008 and RUSAT TIMBER DEPOT are permitted to Manufacturing of export quality pallets, crates and boxes.
